South Milwaukee Performing Arts Director

  Brenda Lee Johnston

Born and raised in Elkhart Lake, Brenda Lee Johnston is a graduate of UW-Stevens Point where she majored in Arts Management with an emphasis in Dance and a minor in Theatre Arts—Drama. Since leaving Stevens Point, Brenda has held a marketing internship at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, filled in the development department at First Stage Children’s Theater and most recently served as the Development Manager at Skylight Opera Theatre. She has also house managed for The Rep, Chamber Theatre and the Skylight. Brenda has had several different experiences in the arts, both on and off stage. Besides singing, acting and dancing, she is also a musician. She recently made her professional Milwaukee debut as “Charity” in Anything Goes at Skylight Opera Theatre. Brenda is very excited to be joining the South Milwaukee School District and looks forward to welcoming you to the new Performing Arts Facility.
